conversion to electric

mazda had no dpf in their smaller engine when they had in a 2.2L.. friends 2.2 got blocked. cost approx 1300 to repair. someone else put adblue in their car and it wouldn't start after filling. these might isolated cases but i doubt it. modern diesel engines look like being alot more tricky going forward
I thought Mazda diesel engines were Peugeot in their 3 models ? , they were very similar to the Ford focus and the focus diesel was a peugeot engine for a long time

The 2.2 is mazdas own engine anyways, not their finest hour, needs strict oil changes and preferably dpf and egr out to have any hope of lasting

I emailed the company in Amsterdam who specialise in conversions the other day ,they got back to me today, told me they know the guy who was on the CB show but that he himself only trains.

They themselves would happily convert a Toyota landcruiser but the cist is insane

85 k for the kind of range you would really need to be comparable to most EV,s on the road today :censored::censored:

Am.i missing something.?. The national grid is almost on its knees one small thing is going to kick it over the edge and we will be all without power. My cousin worked in the ESB he said it was knocking on the door of power cuts. Put all these electric cars onto the system is hardly going to help matters plus no where to charge the bloody yokes. Everything is green to the government when manufacturing ain't produced here

I donā€™t know what it was here last night, perfect calm night and the power dropped out for a couple of minutes around 4am, I think it blipped for a second before that around 2am aswell. Made me wonder what the hell caused it as no other reason for it
