If you need heating on do not start worrying about the planet. This green agenda gets into peoples head and makes them feel guilty about using fuel. Someone put up a picture of the Council office’s in Kildare lit up at five in the morning meanwhile they are turning off lights at motorway junctions. Very few in the office at five in the morning but a lot of trucks at motorway junctions at that time.

Not only are they turning off the lights on the motorway at the junctions (well they turned them off a few years ago) on the M9 they are actually paying to have the lights on the motorway at the junctions removed!

I do get a message from a woman in Kenya every now an then. Asked me what I was up to this morning and I said staying in out of the rain. She can’t remember the last time she saw it rain.

Had a right dash of rain last night, cleared early this morning to leave a right good day. Ground holding up well.
You'd know your heading for winter though, with the ploughing match over and @Bog Man togged out like the fella on the add for Donegal Catch.
And the prodigal son returned @TAFKAT to regale us with tales of riches from contracting and farmers stuffing balls of cash into the Deutz overalls.

drew turf out of Martys bog with the jeep and trailer for herselfs mother on Sunday and Tuesday night,would be a bit cautious about putting as much on the trailer if there was any left to be brought home after last night's rain..was really warm and sunny in the afternoon there
 
one can notice a big change today,nasty heavy showers and rather bitter this morning, something a bit more than a t-shirt needed now, time to get the fresh calved cows in at night if this continues

Friday looks a dirty day with us going by the forecast but they are then promising a mighty week next week. We cannot complain now at this stage after all the good weather.
 
that's some miserable morning,not even fully bright yet,absolutely bucketing down,even drowned getting out of jeep to open gate and paddock wires to let them out
