We'd a different day here. Several right dirty showers with sleet mixed in fell. Land surprisingly is soaking it very well and water isn't staying around for long at all compared to other years.Dry here today, but that wind makes it feel bloody cold.
It's snowing. Just over 2 degrees out.
Yep. The roof of the Jeep is frozen and has slushy looking shite frozen onto it.Are you sure ?? None here . Baltic though .
10 mm this am in gauge , 5 mm yesterday .
Pleasant enough today , until 4.30 . Few dirty spills since that . Getting colder gradually since 1.30 ish .
Disregard that post. I just had a look outside there now and it's after tipping it down.Yep. The roof of the Jeep is frozen and has slushy looking shite frozen onto it.
Hopefully might away with it here. Was hoping to spread some few loads of slurry this weekFlakes of snow falling here.
The rule book says spread away. Sure the snow will cover it up...Hopefully might away with it here. Was hoping to spread some few loads of slurry this week

Why do I say things. Nah ground too soft to travel. Was hoping the ground would freeze again to have a decent time but a few flakes of snow started showing the past few minutesThe rule book says spread away. Sure the snow will cover it up...
Just in the door and the Jeep says it's minus 2 out. I was surprised as it didn't feel cold at all.
And unlike last time when it froze I have antifreeze in the sprayer this time.
Thankfully no harm was done. I'm hugely relieved as it was frozen solid last time and I was afraid of the worst. I ran a couple of hundred litres of water through it this evening to check it wasn't leaking anywhere before I added the antifreeze. How did it fare out afterwards?
South East radio would fill some airtime with it, lists of experts ready to go.I'd hate to hear the hysteria on the radio and online if we actually got a cold snap
So much for the yellow alert. What colour would they use if we did get down to -20 and a foot or 2 of snow?. Red would hardly do it when yellow is flashed about for -2Looks like the promise of artic conditions was a huge exaggeration?
Talk of temps near ten by weekend
Casemount got a big fancy Chafer sprayer recently, but seemly they have no de-icer for the aircraftswonder is it for salt or fertilizer, one would think with all the wealth it would be a fendt and a Bredal instead

Far from arctic conditions but it hasn't thawed at all in the garden here today. Thermometer was down to -3.7ºC in the garden and has been up to 8. Car was reporting -4.5º going in to work.Looks like the promise of artic conditions was a huge exaggeration?
