A pity the read mudguards don't cover the tyres better, any bit of muck on them and when you speed up it lands on the mirrors.

Yea can’t say I am the biggest fan of the rear tyres. They are on different rims which is why they stick out so much. They are still 650s. Just can’t remember the rest of the profile. Think they are 650/85/38. I be happier with just a normal set of 650s as when you lock hard with this tractor on one of the field masters you be rubbing the ladder with the tyre. Will just have to be a bit more careful

Tfm were out this morning with their demo 9600i harvester. A fine machine. Well finished. Header really seemed to handle the lumpy row made by a rake a lot better than the claas.

Also a new field master got today. It’s the 4th one now. All 20fts with 560 tyres and hydraulic tail boards. Mostly the same as the other 3 got two years ago with a few extras. Had the mowers off today myself to give a hand drawing. Mowers back on in the morning weather premitting

9600 is last years 8600 to all intents, baby of the wide body machine with 625HP, sometimes I think we need less HP in a forager as more grass seems to have to be carried mad distances to feed the celtic cow, either a monster fleet of trailers or give a bit more time filling a few iykwim.

I pretty sure it’s down to 6 jobs. One is about 80ac but all the rest are handy 30-40ac jobs. Hopefully next week will let us crack on at them. Getting very fond of the ttv. Won’t drive anything else now unless I really have to.

Yea big tractor and bin. There is a claas lexion 580 there to.
Yea 7.5m Agquib trailing shoe. Folds up nicely behind you.

Looks great now

Is it possible to fit these trailing shoes to an existing tanker?

Have a hi spec which is about 8 or 9 years old now and just wondering how it will play out with the new slurry rules

I am sure anything is possible. I know the 2300 hi spec that was bought maybe 6 year ago was made with the intention of fitting one of the rules were inforced so it has a few extra bits on it for fitting a unit on the back. Not sure if he will go another trailing shoe or dribble bar on the 2300

Correct indeed. I was allowing you would get that from the cat challenger and chaser. Or unless your very good and know where the pig shit came from.

I was thinking it was Fenniscourt and that it was the pig slurry. Will the missus let you in the door after being near that stuff

I'd say there's some there since Friday, the other boyo was drawing somewhere anyway.

Yea we spread it all Saturday. All tanks empty again. Was told there was more coming Tuesday he taught. There has been a lot of shit drew there

We weren’t overly happy with the spreading of the dung with the older hi spec 1250 so we ended up getting the newest version of the 1250 on demo. Big difference in its ability to spread dung correctly. No lumps of dung left behind and a very nice even spread pattern. Not overly hard run. The 165.7 sings along with it

What have they changed to make the difference? Are they just regular dung spreader chains and ends in them?

Yea as far as I know they just the standard chains and weights. The chains are a lot shorter though. As for changes they have changed a lot.
Instead of 4 chains on the floor they now have 2 with full width slats on the floor. The discs are larger on the back too and have two veins instead of 4 on each disc. The new one doesn’t have a Center divide either which makes a big difference to the spreading pattern. The chains are going a lot faster too. Not 100% sure but think they are going 1200rpm now where the old one was doing 900rpm. Can’t exactly remember but definitely faster.
As for the shape of the body it is now shaped like a trailer. Straight sides with the body is tapered to the back so wider at the back compared to the front to prevent the dung wedging. The way the gearboxes and chains are set up on the back are changed and seem better set up but hard to explain with out showing someone.

You'd expect a properly guarded PTO on a demonstrator.
