Few pictures of stuff

It was something over 12 months old when the uncle bought it. It was a demo tractor for Massey for a bit and the man who had it on demo liked it that much he bought it. My uncle got to know him well about 15 years ago and he said he always regretted selling it. He bought a Leyland instead and reckoned it wasn't half as good. Whenever the two would meet yer man always asked if the 168 was still here and how was it going. He always planned on calling over this way to see it but unfortunately he died of cancer before that happened. The log book has 1974 as the year of reg for the old lady.

I was looking at the docket and saw they weren't an MF dealer and was thinking it was traded in, what price would she have been new, about another 100 or 200. I bought a 168 a few years ago for 3000 euro from my uncle. I didn't need it but bought it because I knew it and would be a shame to see it exported.

I don't know what they were new but I would think 4000 pounds would probably be it.

My father bought a new Ford 5600 , same hp as an MF 168 , delivered from JR Perry Athy on the 26th of February 1976 , for £4100 . Dual power , power steering but no puh .
Still here.

First summer job l did was cutting silage with a Taarup single chop side mounted on a 5600. Had a 5000 drawing away and a 4000 on the buckrake. Two 12 x 6 timber trailers.

The 185 here was £ 1,956 in 1973 bought a right rough 135 multi power in Jan 75 for £1000 , tided it up and trade it for the 168 in August. it was to be an other 185 but their had been a price increase and we were getting Multi Power and IPTO with the pre increase 168 against the 185 . It was a good move because with the combine flow pumps on the 168 it was ideal when it got an 80 loader fitted.

You'd think you would have a bigger trailer for it

The design needs to grow on me but if I had one in the morning I wouldn't say no

You got demoted very quickly diesel power
I never got promoted nash. I got a few hours in the 865 last week because the brother had to milk his cows. Tbh I don't mind and I like the 520. It's in hot weather the cab is unbearable but that seems an unlikely complaint this season the way the weather is.
