Food

Not much choice in Boyle itself but a lot of choice in a few mile radius if your not pushed on having a drink with the meal or don’t mind €20 on a taxi

I wasn't in it yet but heard it was good. I'd know the owner and dad would have done a lot of the ground work around it.

Glad you enjoyed it.

We dined in Tyrellespass Castle last night on the way back from Moynalty Rally.
Not posh , as you might expect from title . Well presented , tasty , hot excellent value . And plenty of staff .

Never heard of it until we met friends at the rally and they said it was their stop of choice when travelling in that direction.
Definitely will call again if in its vicinity .:Thumbp2:

A mate was only recommending that place to me during the week after eating there the weekend before last.

Another vote for Tyrellspass Castle here, had the pleasure of dining in there on a number of occasions and always found the food and service excellent.
Can be a little manic and crowded on sundays but that's to be expected in alot of places.
Never left the place hungry and would happily recommend it to anyone passing the area.

any recomendations for restaurants in waterford city or close by, meeting some friends there and wouldn,t be familiar with the food scene there

In an effort to se how the unwashed dine out We Went down to Eunice Powers posh chips in Dungarvan and the only reason I would give it 7 out of 10 is that the Salt and Vinegar were not chained to the counter and there was no bouncer to grab you in a half Nelson and deposit you on the kerb like would have happened to you if you asked for a San Pelligrino in Greasy Micks in Carlow.
The chips were limp and tepid and the Haddock was slightly over battered .
I think Sheas in Dunmore East are way better.

Was down in Dungarvan today and had Haddock and Chips from Eunice Powers chipper and it was excellent unlike my previous experience. Best chips I have eaten in a long time. .

Went to the Strand Cahore good food and a nice cliff top walk and then onto the beach.
A dog friendly restaurant as well .
