Looks like it tbh.we refused to ratify this new way of quoting milk price as it doesn't put any extra money in farmers pockets

They will soon be rid of those pesky farmers off the board altogether. Seemingly they want a more diverse spread around the table https://www.farmersjournal.ie/numbe...bers-at-glanbia-plc-to-reduce-to-three-604579
This has been well signposted. You would also have to imagine that most of the expansion has occurred at this stage.https://www.agriland.ie/farming-news/glanbia-to-bring-in-temporary-peak-season-cap-on-milk-supply/ Inevitable or the beginning of the end of dairy expansion. One would begin to question how new entrants aren't being pushed towards autumn calving etc to flatten the peak instead of adding to it
Heard this through work this morning. You would have to imagine they will object again though, question is whether the politicians will decide to intervene or if they can. Also I think that from Glanbia's perspective, there is a case to be made to make a start on the works in any event, they could surely be pouring foundations, piling, etc. Worst case scenario they don't get the go ahead and they have to cover over the foundations again, best case scenario the plant would be up and running 6 months earlier than waiting for the final decision.Planning has been granted for cheese plant in belview. Should know ina month if an taisce go to object again.
On the belturbet to cavan bypass as such there was a rare type of snail found ( mysteriously) at where there is a bridge.held up completion for a long time.its a well know landmark now ." We just passed the snail bridge " be there in 15 minsI saw a very rare snail crossing the road there a few months ago.
You would hope they would take the hint and give up. A rock and a hard place, I'd say they will hold untill they see if they will object again.Heard this through work this morning. Unlikely as it will not be built for a few years so I’d reckon the peak management will be in place for 22 and 23 at leastSo if it goes through can people expand away?
Would you expect replacement dairy stock to take a hit in price for spring 2022 and 2023 as a result? I suppose the expansion will continue unabated elsewhere so probably only a south and east issue really.Unlikely as it will not be built for a few years so I’d reckon the peak management will be in place for 22 and 23 at least
Unlikely, currently prices are daft.Would you expect replacement dairy stock to take a hit in price for spring 2022 and 2023 as a result? I suppose the expansion will continue unabated elsewhere so probably only a south and east issue really.
I see the kite flying about restrictions has paid off.

I can't imagine the high court gave two hoots about a few less heifers being put to the bull for a few years
I'd hope they were ignoring who both parties were and ruling on the law and nothing else. That's their job, charity or employer is none of their concernI'd hope that they would be more interested in a charity called and taisce, deliberately frustrating the planning and development of a large employer and creator of revenue for the country.

we nearly got 4 months without mentioning glanbia and now you,ve ruined it they must be doing something rightAre an taisce appealing again?
Yes they are seeking leave to appeal to the highest court in the land. Their delay tactics shouldn't come as any major surprise. It's also no coincidence that they chose to announce it on the same day as the IPCC report on climate change. Are an taisce appealing again?
