Couldn’t find a thread in relation to this so I said I’d start one, what are handy tools/bits ye have in the workshop ?
I seen these in videos on YouTube lately and I’m mad to get one, anyone have any experience ?4091BF41-DF26-4C6E-A908-4126D5425E62.webp

I’d been thinking of getting one for awhile. Was in getting bolts and inquiried about the price of one . First price he quoted me was dear( I was kind of happy at that as don’t really need one) Got me the bolts I wanted and chirps in I’ll do you the grease gun and the few bolts for €220 . I’m now the proud owner of a battery grease gun🤦‍♂️
I don't have one but I've long been thinking one of those battery grease guns would be a great yoke around the place.

You'll bust the gears on the ratcheting end if using those on anything tight.
Lifetime warranty on the all the Halfords Advanced tools here if there's ever a problem but I'd be starting with an ordinary spanner on anything tight.

Disposable pint glasses, old Christmas biscuit tins, old cereal boxes for mixing up small bits of paint, epoxy etc.

Empty silage plastic boxes for lying on the ground.

It's something that never appealed to me, most lads I know just wouldn't use one whether it was manual or battery powered. And if they had one it would be empty most of the time.
Some lads wouldn't be able to grease a machine with autolube fitted.
I've a pistol grip grease gun with a lever on top that gives volume or flick it down it gives pressure. Its a super piece of kit and while I'd like a battery grease gun I'm not that madly pushed and I sure as shite won't be giving 4 or 500 for the likes of a premium brand.

A McNaught grease gun?

I'm not sure what make it is lads. It has a red barrel if that helps?. Ill get a look at it tomorrow and see for sure.

Have 1 here, it's a good job but not life changing, we have the Fuchs type hand guns here, so the battery is a bit better, now if I was coming from a std lever gun that is airlocking all the time I would be saying it's the best thing since internet porn 🤣 🤣

Probably an Alemite. Good gun. We have 2 Alemites (one pistol and one lever), a McNaught and two Fuchs guns. The lever Alemite got most of the action until the Milwaukee arrived last year. Should have gotten one years ago.

Saw these type grease gun in a shop one day, allows you to pump with one hand and keep the other shoved onto the grease nipple.

Have that type and wouldn’t go back to the other type that you put the cartridge into a tube. Had the 2 handed version picked up till the store man said about that type. Was going to go for the magnet idea or something along those lines but happy with the one handed option. If you can’t pump in grease with it, the nipple or something else probably needs sorting to clear a blockage
