The ‘bolt‘ might be a long grub screw with a locking nut if it’s the same as the one here, so tighten the daylights out of it with an Allen key and then tighten the nut if that’s what it is.Line up the keyway, the square opening at 3 o'clock on the pto shaft, with the keyway on the pto of the power washer, shove in pto, get spanner and tighten the bolt on the pto shaft to keep it on. Imagine green part is pto shaft in photo and yellow is power washer.

Where you based Tom, we could send out a crew to give you a hand set it up?Good advice here thanks, I know how it works now. How do I line the pto shaft to fit onto the washer pto. Is there an easy way to do this?
Had similar to this myself, just drilled a hole big enough in underside of cover to put 3/8" drive extension up through , pop socket on inside and tightened up, didn't compromise safety in any way as hole was small and on underside. Might not be the pc thing to do but sometimes practicality comes firstI bought a sprayer two years ago and after using it for a few times the PTO shaft came of at the pump. The bolt holding on the PTO shaft couldn't be tightened because the PTO cover on the sprayer was in the way, but you couldn't put the PTO cover on when the PTO shaft was on.
I don't know who came up with the design or what they were thinking
SHouldn't be a problem any way, some covers have holes big enough to grease the uj's through.Had similar to this myself, just drilled a hole big enough in underside of cover to put 3/8" drive extension up through , pop socket on inside and tightened up, didn't compromise safety in any way as hole was small and on underside.
