If the wipers are working fine otherwise then it's either the switch or relay. The intermittent wiper function does not work on the Mxm120 here.
Is this likely to be a case of simply replacing the relay or are there other likely causes? Any easy way to check other than just changing the relay and hoping for the best?!
Hold the switch just as it goes to move past the detent in either direction and see if it works if the relay doesn’t solve it. The van in work will stop the wipers in any position in the intermittent setting but if you hold the lever slightly they work perfect, it’s fine in all other settingsThe intermittent wiper function does not work on the Mxm120 here.

Has it an adjustable timer like the maxxums had?The intermittent wiper function does not work on the Mxm120 here.

I don’t think so, but could be wrong!Has it an adjustable timer like the maxxums had?
Late Maxxums had a dial on the pillar to adjust time,I know they weren’t great.I don’t think so, but could be wrong!
Definitely don’t have that anyway.Late Maxxums had a dial on the pillar to adjust time,I know they weren’t great.
Replace the relay. Took the relay here out of the tm and does the same thing as you mentioned. The intermittent wiper function does not work on the Mxm120 here.
