John deere

Looks dodgy

A lot of the machines have quite low hours for their age. Prices lowish also.

No sign of Grimes company premises behind any machine and all machines seem to be in different locations........

The 6930 in that link has a foreign number plate. The address is residential but the phone number is correct for the area.

Took a fair bit of scrolling to find a tractor with over 6k hrs, lots of pics lifted from European dealers, it’s amazing how many lads get sucked in, I was talking to a friend of mine on the phone last week, big enough contractor who’s lots of experience buying in England, described a tractor he saw for sale, I immediately said ya that’s a scam, he was convinced otherwise rang them up and all, foreign accent asking for a deposit straight away. If it sounds too good to be true it usually is.

Reverse google search is a good tool!
Although to be fair a lot of their stock doesn't show on anywhere else.

You have to use Google Chrome as your browser.
Either right clic on the pic or hold a finger on the pic and then select 'search google for this immage '
Should bring up a new tab with results. Quite often shows the picture is used on lots of websites, Mascus is a popular one!

The pictures of the tractor don't look they were taken in England anyway. What country is the Reg from doesn't look European.

Told me it was from america and its in poland at the moment foreign cu.. pay him 25 percent and balance when i got it pure cunt

I think any JD 6930 with less than 10000hrs for under £30k would be a scam of some sort tbh but I know a lot of people get caught by these.

A good friend of mine, very smart fella but unbelievably hungry, miserable and eager for a bargain very nearly got caught by this sort of ad, his greed was nearly his downfall, he showed a tractor to me, said he was gonna buy it, I said it’s a scam. He was adamant it wasn’t despite me telling him a number of times the machine was £10,000 too cheap, he had been talking to the seller and everything was legit
Long story short, he went to the bank to do a transfer and told the girl the story, she smelt a rat and said she would rather not do the transfer for him, so it didn’t happen.
He still looks for these bargains and every now and then will say to me I should have bought that tractor.

What are they like as a tractor? See ones on done deal over here will 14,000 hours so must be a good bid for high hours ??
Everyone loved my 75,it was mapped to 240 on the shaft and did 58kph (I also removed the egr,the egr cooler etc) it was very reliable and served me well, the only thing was I found it very twitchy on the road at speed and it lacked better cab suspension, despite all the bull regards fuel use I’ve found the 30s excellent on fuel, the 75 was better than my 720 fendt.
