Massey 3655

[Oyster farmer]

Having issues with our Massey dynashift. B and C have intermittently disappeared and getting worse. For example id i drop from D to C it will deop to A but the light will still say C. Has anyone had this issue? Or any ideas where to start? Have checked all wiring connections.

It’s controlled by 2 solenoids so if one was not getting a signal or failed you could get that behaviour.

Change all the solenoids on gearbox while your at it they aren’t that dear

Thanks so much for all the advice guys, I really didn't know where to start with this tractor as all my previous tractors have been just mechanical, no computers etc. Really appreciate it. Going to replace solenoids. We can't afford breakdowns where we are or the tide goes over the tractor

If you are an oyster farmer it's probably not a great choice for that envoirment. The most reliable in that environment is likely to be a big old simple 4wd Zetor. Would climb the walls with grip and doesnt have anything electrical that would strand it.

If only I could find one lol the massey has had the datatronic removed and all the rear linkages etc are not usable. One of the computers for it has been moved inside the cab. She's been a pretty good old girl so far.
