Massey Ferguson 7400

We have the same problem with our 7719s, they get air in the brake system and as a result the padelfeel is realy bad. It's a known problem at the dealer. Bleeding the brakes helps for a month or 3, after that the problems are back
All 67xx and 77xx MFs are being recalled at the moment for brake valve replacement, I wonder is that the issue?

A fine machine, well may it wear. A stainless steel exhaust? they are the only job.

I went with a heat shield as opposed to a full stainless steel. There wasn’t much difference in the price and I liked the look of the MF symbol and lettering in the heat shield.

Bit dull today so hard to get a good picture. Not that impressed to be honest, may yet go with the full stainless.

Anyone have to do the front axle input shaft seal. Is it likely I have a bigger problem if seal leaking or should I replace seal and see.

You could get a dial indicator and see if there's much movement.

Anyone replaced this if so what did you use to remove the nut or did you make your own tool is it a 20 or 24mm

Was thinking about this last few days and finally found 1 comment on another forum stating same but very little detail. It doesn't make sense that MF enable 4WD braking on tractors with a cardan brake? With the cardan brake the tractor brakes the front axle and then the rear brakes take care of the rear. Engaging 4wd ties all together but really puts alot of strain on the very small cardan brake discs especially if the rear not adjusted to take the load first . Is it true that the same Fendt units do not engage 4wd on braking? If 4wd wasn't engaged the braking would be much smoother?
