Eddie Fitzpatrick, he's a FF Councillor. He farms about 400 acres and runs Masseys now.
Ya that’s him, bought that deutz off him years ago, I was young enough when we bought it, only remember a red Fahr combine and he had a daughter same age as me 🤣

Super dry week here, got 5 minutes of snow on Tuesday and no real hard frost, harsh wind but dried out land something serious, plenty of slurry, muck and hedges got done

Only looking through this thread now, I never realised there was so much steep ground in Galway

Somthing a bit different tonight and definitely not for everyone but anyone that has interest in old houses, here are some of the few pictures of my fathers home place before it was knocked.

I would sow 150-200 acres of grass a year with it. Take all the springs off the coulters and open all the flaps even the ones with no pipes and you won’t see a single line in the field
I don't take the springs off, just reduce the spring pressure back to nearly nothing and then lift each Coulter and pop an m8 x80 bolt through the holes on the bracket the coulter pivots on, you'll have no lines either

How is the rake going , are you putting 2or 3 into one
Going well now I haven’t actually used it myself at all yet but the lad that’s driving it likes it, I’m putting 2 into one where it’s heavy and 3 where it’s light, the cam track has to be adjusted when setting it for the different rows also
