Did u look at any other rakes, I like the look of the krone.Possibly a bold move but the Mchale rake will be replacing the massey rake
I looked at krone and kverneland also, you couldn’t buy a krone the same spec as the Mchale the price of themDid u look at any other rakes, I like the look of the krone.
You were obviously happy with the McHalePossibly a bold move but the Mchale rake will be replacing the massey rake
PottingerYou were obviously happy with the McHale
in the market myself for a rake
you mind me asking was there a big price difference between McHale and Krone? Have looked at Krone but the price seems outrageous
I only raked 4 acres with the Mchale myself but the driver liked it well, it’s a very heavy duty rake and although they had wicked trouble the first year or 2, I spoke to 2 contractors with them now that like them well. I got an awful shock when I heard the price of the krone too, they seem to be very dear compared to any other make of rake and I have borrowed Fresh krone rakes before and they never stood out to me. I think the krone was about 5k more than the MchaleYou were obviously happy with the McHale

Is that not shite service? I'd be expecting to get 10 years fairly trouble free at that acreageIn saying that when I told the driver that we bought the Mchale rake he told me he would have preferred another massey rake than it but if I were to go down that route again I would say the massey rake needs to be changed every 3 years when raking 2000 acres a year

Local fella to here had a massey rake, lasted 3 seasons as well. Traded it as it was falling apart. Has a mchale rake now as well. Far stronger machine he was saying. In saying that when I told the driver that we bought the Mchale rake he told me he would have preferred another massey rake than it but if I were to go down that route again I would say the massey rake needs to be changed every 3 years when raking 2000 acres a year
Ya I got 3 seasons out of it without having to do anything bar 5 tines, season 4 it broke the 2 shafts that drive the rotars and season 5 (this year) there are all sorts of issuesLocal fella to here had a massey rake, lasted 3 seasons as well.
