I see ya made it up to the Royal county Nash:thumbup1:

Didn't make it myself that day was on combining ourselves about 5 miles away from the field!

Had meant to make it over for a while during the day but ya know how it is!

We mightn't have one an All-Ireland in 11 years but at least we have had two combine world records in the county:lol::lol::lol::lol:

We did indeed - that was some day out! Dad really wanted to go to see some 780 Specials like the ones he used to run and the scrap one we had.

Not much hope on the All - Ireland's for another good while - much like ourselves really :001_rolleyes::no:

I sure would like to make a trip over to see that harvest :001_cool:

Where and when is this harvest conducted ?:thumbup1:

It was a world record attempt held in County Meath Ireland for the greatest number of pre 1970 combines in one field.

Would this be an annual event or was it a one time show :001_cool:

I started out on a AC 66 pull type and our first pusher was a 1957 45 deere:thumbup1:

When is harvest time there ?

A one off yes.

Next is one of 8ft Dutch harrow that does most of our harrowing - best buy ever!

Another of the good old 3000. Remember she has a 4610 engine!

First 2 of Dad spraying off stubbles in January hence the fancy hat. I don't know why he wasn't using the tramlines. I think the following year we had margins so maybe that is why.

Next 2 of me picking stones with the 3600. Last one of the 4610.

Picked this amount of stones in one morning off a 6.5 acre field!!! The heap is twice as big now. At least its in grass now.

Next a Deutz Fahr 6.16 that I used for moving grain trailers.

Ford 3600 and mowing bar topping (or trying to top).

Final 2, rarely seen TYM's spreading sand on the pitches in UCD.

Friend's Valtra 6650 - another one Blue Ray should be familiar with!

Me after bringing home some bulk beef ration in big bags.

Change in scenery to the spring work.

First one - one field completely finished - hope it comes up!

Dad finishing off ploughing a headland.

Next 2 of me starting to plough a field. Can't complain about that job if I do say so myself.

Finally Ford 3000 on seed cart duties.

Very interesting, I like seeing old kit still serving well, more money in the bank hopefully! What sort of cattle you run? Any pics of them?

Them pics bring back memories. We had a 1979 Ford 4600 from new with the Fritz cab on it which we all learned how to drive on. I think t must have been the late 80s when we bought a Q cab 1978 6600 with a Tanco loader and in 1994 we bought the 7600 at the Ballywater farms auction.

In 1995 we got the JD6600 and traded the blue 6600 and the following year we traded the 7600 against a new 7840. That is when we dodged the 110-90 bullet :tt2:
