New Holland 6635

I'll try a 6 sided 24 so. Thanks for that lads, I think some of the problem is the heads are not deep so my 12 sided are not super tight.

It did seem odd that they would be 23!

What exact size are the front wheel nuts on a 35 series does anybody know?

22 is too small, 24 fits but put pressure on it and it spins.
Are they not studs going through the hubs, 24mm but you could have a bit of rust at the back of them which wont help.

Correct. I'll have to have a better look to be honest. I'd no bother changing the track width of the back wheels to be fair.

I bought these speakers about ten years ago, as I'd been given a one for all voucher and needed to use up the credit on it before it expired. I thought they might come in useful at some point. One of the existing speakers was busted so swapped these in along with a pioneer radio I was given a few years back.

Nothings junk if you find a use for it later

Got a hitch support casting to hopefully remedy the leak I have. What type of liquid gasket should I use between this and the tractor backend?

I use vtech black gasket maker on most older machines where gaskets can't be sourced. Has yet to let me down yet, I used to use vital red but it wasn't as strong as the black stuff

I want to put a free flow return on the tractor for a post driver.

It looks like there is provision for it on the oil filler pipe, am I correct in that assumption?

I have a male quick release coupler fitted to the tractor return of all mine, it just simplifies the supply and return hoses to plug in. Granted you need the more expensive female end on implements then.
A good point. I'll probably just stick a coloured cable tie on it as it keeps it simple if borrowing gear.

This hitch hasn't been off in a while. I have the replacement casting which holds the lower link sending unit resealed and ready to go. It's holding oil without leaks for the past few days.

just wondering about how you located the oil leaks and how you sorted them .I have a 110/90 which loses a drum of oil the round of the year and the hitch would be dripping oil ,It looks exact same back end

I'll get a better picture but I observed where it leaked when it was parked. Wiping away the dirt is a big help. This one is leaking from the shaft seal housing (it looks like a bushing that holds the seal). I replaced the seal a while back but noticed the housing was loose going into the casting. It shouldn't be loose, it should be close to an inference fit. Not being sure where the wear is, I got a secondhand support casting that was tight. It seems to be a reasonably common problem.

Got this back together today and so far no leaks thankfully. The casting I removed wasn't in great shape.

The hokey pokey tools came in handy for swapping the roller over, the one in the replacement casting had a bit of wear in one place.

Trying to follow what you are doing ,Is that casting holding on the linkage arms ,did you not have to drop of the hitch

Baby powder can be very handy for this. Dust it onto the area in question after a thorough cleaning and the leak will stain the baby powder long before a drop of oil would be visible

Sorry, I missed seeing this.

That casting holds the rear linkage arms at the ends opposite to the implement. It's lower link sensing for draft control. There is a little fork that drops down to transfer the movement to the draft control mechanism.

The axla hitch bolts on underneath the casting, so has to be removed to remove the casting.

Unfortunately, it sounds like the clutch is on the way out after moving a few bits around the yard today.

CNH list two different clutches for these tractors, 310mm and 360mm, any idea which should be used or does it matter once the pressure plate is the same?
