Stream, flooding

Hi there,
Recently acquired land (Ireland). Unused for 30+ years.
Right of entry has all but disappeared. Neighbour has allowed access through his field (much appreciated).
However a small stream runs through it, maps say that there is a well, but cant see an actual structure.
The middle field of 4 flood therefore losing access to bottom 2 fields (though they don't flood as bad) and also would lose access to main right of entry. Is there any grants/schemes etc that can aid with this?
Thanks

AFAIK not anymore - in fact its likely that the next CAP will pay u to keep the place as it is via rewetting

The well you talk about might not be what you think a well should be, could be more so a spring in the field or a hole with water. We bought ground in 2011 there was 3ax we couldn't walk as was all over grown and wet. It was the same thing a well the locals called it. Was nothing more than a good spring. When we reclaimed it the digger man said when he stopped for a minute at all he could see the her sink. Once we tapped the spring off to a drain solved the hole thing. We tilled the ground for 7 years and sold it then.

Aiye, that's what I came across, more of spring. Bit of a waterfall too, well it's like the size of a step, looks pretty.
