The €10k tractor...

Not the greatest option but if mechanically sound and assuming you could pick up doors seems value

That tractor is in Bunbeg which is on the coast, the rims are brown with rust which would suggest it was in the salt water in it's time possibly working at oysters. The overall condition of the tractor doesn't look to bad though, I saw a newish Valtra A series and a NH T5000 up close that had been working near salt water, they were bad, very bad

If it’s your main tractor I’d avoid but as a backup it could be ok. Re no tax book if owner has it a long time can happen - easy to verify reg and see if reported stolen for €15-20 worth the spend. If it doesn’t show any red flags should be possible to get it in your name with a small bit of hassle
I've done that in the past. The international 674 I had a few years ago came with no tax book. Bought it in the North, but it was from England. I had to apply for a certificate of export based on the number plate and serial number of the tractor. Once I got that I imported the tractor at the local tax office and was able to get a number plate and tax it here. The whole process took a few weeks but was fairly straight forward.

What about this one.
For sale by a local guy stronger money than the other one at 11.5k

is that one 32 speed as well - thought all ending in 5 were dynashift but that doesn't seem to be.
It's a long time since I was looking at them but I'm certain there were 16 speed ones, I don't remember seeing a 32 speed one

If its registered in the owners name the easiest thing is to get him to apply for a lost/replacement tax book. Its probably not though and prob came from ni. The plate isnt real anyway but didnt expect it to be, given the number. Might have a few hoops to jump through to register it.

There appears to be an effort made to make it a bit more presentable in the pics. Tinwork has been painted recently and rest of it painted in the not too distant past. Lots of rust coming through. Lots of work to be done to make it tidy and still have the usual expected mechanical work. He has had plenty of views but no quick sale.

That's a bad foot to start out on isn't it. Nice work Sherlock.
