That's a mans goldenvale he's reseeding.......
Did the lad ploughing not think to wind up the depth wheel a bit
I suppose he wanted to go as lite as possible in that type of ground as the rock is so close to the surface..
He has the plough buried. Can never understand the depths you corks lads have to plough to find a bit of good soil
Lifting the wheel usually drops the plough down, look again the plough is probably set as lite as it can to get a happy medium.
Looks like it's well up to me
Grass seeds in bed just to tuck them in with the roller.
What did you sow after?
Peeping nicely after a week.
and the rape is flying
Almost a month after ploughing trying to get seeds in. Not sure to go with a quad sower now and be done with it or leave it till sat to dry abit and one pass them in as it could do with another pass of the Harrow.
a few pictures from last couple days. Got it all done this morning. Was threatening rain today, drops now and again on windscreen but it held off.
Job done. Only took 4 weeks to get it sowed. Hope it will be ok now.
2 weeks in and driving on nicely, plenty of clover.
Anyone putting out pellets for slugs?
Have you got slugs?
Set a trap or 3 ,slice of bread under a plate
they have a few acres gone here in the middle of a field, must attack the ba$tards tonight
How does that work then?
Presume they would come to the top eat the bread and the bread kills them or something
They come to the top to eat the bread but stay there same as if they were under a stone.
Slugs are celiacs , gluten intolerant.
