Looking for New Holland tm140 or tm155 or case equivalent mxm140 or mxm 155. Front suspension ideally but cab suspension will suffice. Less than 10000 hours. Ideally Munster. Range command only. It won’t be put in a glass case but won’t be over worked either.

What's the budget? Did you try Timmins on Carlow?

It is a bit outside the parish and only a TM130 but it is low hours

2003 Range command, 4 x spools, front linkage, cab suspension, 420/70 R 28, 460/70 R 38, very tidy throughout, 4207 hours, £26,750

That is very very tempting now to be fair. Should that read semi powershift?

Very very nice tractor. I’d drive it in a heartbeat. Only hesitations are the 460 back tyres and the tm130 part but were it sitting in a local dealers I’d take a chance that’s for sure

Thanks for all the heads up - they’re much appreciated. I’ve seen everything on DoneDeal. From chatting to a few lads elsewhere there are plenty of them around just to find one where it’s been well gone through (as let’s face it they are old tractors now) and would be willing to guarantee it fairly locally.

Wear looks more than it should for a little over 5,000hrs?
15,000hrs????????????

The cab doesn’t look great but the paint on the back end would make me believe it’s closer to 5000. Could well be wrong though. Pedals and cab does look a bit tired but paint on back looks more weathered than worn

It is the wear on the gear lever, even some new buttons on it, that would make me doubt the hours, also the tyre wear is wrong for the hours.

Maybe the wrong place to ask this but on the subject of tractors or any machinery when is vat applied and when should a machine be sold without vat?
Chatting to man lately and he said when a farmer buys a tractor and pays the vat then that tractor can't be sold plus vat, nearly every ad on donedeal or even above Facebook ads all have vat on them. Can anybody explain the proper way it works?

What if a registered person buys one of those "no vat" machines then later decides to sell on.do you charge vat them ? I've heard arguments over this with contrasting opinins

Not totally clear cut, and the kind of thing I would be asking my accountant to clarify.

There is the vat margin scheme for dealers, but not sure its an option for a private vat registered seller

Was there not something about those TM 155 or 150 giving trouble with the backends reddening up if worked hard for long periods?. I seem to remember something about them not been the greatest in that regard.
