Front PTO on the 7495 started making a noise I didn’t like, that I figured was a bearing getting to the end of it’s mechanical life. Rather than risk a catastrophic failure and major damage, thought was time to strip it down. Would love to have the time and knowledge to do it myself, but this was beyond my skill set for now, so local MF dealer doing the work.

It’s a common enough Zuidberg factory fitted front PTO, but there is plenty going on in there, and it’s hard enough to get in and out without not being sure the bearings and gears were set right.
Got this lady back today from the workshop.

Turned out the noise was coming from a ball bearing in the housing and she also needed a new pump. Got all the bearings and rubber doughnut changed too when she was stripped, so hopefully that’s her for a while 🤞🏻

Yes my father done that up when I was around 10 so over 20 years ago.
I can't remember the ins and outs of it as I was the Chief Sander in those days.
I have a 5000 and a 135 with a sekura cab there and a 6640
I may put in some more tractors.
The 3 I put in would be very very good tractors

Is that a Longord cab on that 165?
The 6640 looks like a lovely tractor.
I must give a call over to their yard to have a look at what is on offer.

Is it that Clifford’s are hosting the auction but that most of the stuff is from others ?

Dad always said it was the pitcher arm on the truck he thought must have been one of the hardest on men, bag of wheat getting launched up onto the truck off the arm and you had to be in the right spot and ready for it as there was no stopping it to catch it, stack it in place and be back ready before the next one launched at you.
I always thought he was fairly serious when it came to pitching sq bales with the fork, I’d be up on the load and I’d barely have time to get one bale placed and he’d have the next beside me but he always said my grandfather and the workman that used to be with him were unnatural at it, they’d grab a bale between them and launch it to the top of a stack or load and nearly have it sitting in place no matter how high

Toronto. Was just here for few hours over night but have to say its the most relaxing safe feeling big city I've ever been in. Will be back for a few days again end of week.

5.5hr train to Montreal was mostly massive fields of cut crops waiting for weather to improve to sow again, similar barns and houses to USA and and grain silos.

Montreal.
Meh so far but will try see tourist stuff after work Tomorrow afternoon. Seems rougher than Toronto but still a lot calmer than nyc etc.

Government required tick the box for work that could have been a phone call but I won't refuse a trip to somewhere new and I've a good friend based here now I get to see.
