towbar Well-Known Member Nov 14, 2021 #3 Cheers @MF30 capacitor wire had broken!!! We had swapped it many years ago for a 3 phase and it had been working but when it didn’t spin up I was too lazy to check it. Runs fine now. If anyone interested I’ll let it go 100 plus 50 to charity.

towbar Well-Known Member Nov 14, 2021 #5 That fan was keeping 250 ton of green grain cool over winter once it was 21 or under. Actually a slightly smaller 3ph fan in it now.

towbar Well-Known Member Nov 14, 2021 #7 I guess it could dry hay. I have plugged it straight in to test it but it really needs a contactor and motor protection switch.
