What are you up to in the workshop?

Got the loader more or less finished today, still 3 stickers to go on but their on the way. Happy with how it came out. Just stuck a new guide bar for the level on it as it was a bit grubby looking and a few new hoses where theybwere a bit worn from rubbing. Pins and bushings were like new so it needed nothing in that line of things.

We did sort of similar, we have 2 lances with quick release males on them and a quick release female on the end of the hose, just a matter of picking up whichever one you and and clicking it in before you start the washer!

something along the lines of these

Is it possible use a power washer to clean tarmac, without damaging it,have some with some moss on it, was tempted to give it a go
Its possible, but not great for the tarmac, it tends to make more holes, for more moss to row in..
I find washing powder good, but needs to be done wen the moss is just staring to get prominent

No one person who did it and it looked super afterwards, but not long after the tarmac all started to break up😟

Or you could just have interchangeable ends on the gun

We had a lance once with two jets on it. There was a ball in behind the jets and all you had to do tilt the lance and let the ball go across and shut off one jet. It worked really well, haven’t seen one of them since.

stripped the david brown engine down a bit more this evening:

the oil pump was a bit clogged.

Next job is to get the pistons out but they are pretty fast in, had a quick attempt with a block of wood and the big hammer but the block of wood lost.

The steering knuckle hopped off on the JCB 3D while I was away. Mr Google had many suggestions but he did not know about the new one that was in the bucket on the top shelf in the middle shed. We have the machine 39 years.

Not especially exciting, been busy with a lot of other stuff recently, but been tipping away at these.

Made about 3 years and never painted so painted the lot, used the grinder to take some of the edge off the forks for better safety handling bags, drilled some holes for a hitch or a shackle and put a bit of yellow on the hooks and toes to help visibility in dark buildings in a tractor with no wipers/screenwash

I really should have put something on the floor

You may paint the floor now !!

I'm actually thinking about it. Part of it is unpainted and is to become exposed in an upcoming cabinet reshuffle. but I don't know if theres much point, look how much of the original paint has been scratched off. a painted floor and fabrication arent a great combo.

Spent a massive 20mins in the workshop today making a outdoor feeder for the nag. It's very agri spec but with some finer refinements be worth a little cash in the pocket turner.
