Will MF 896 loader suit/fit MF 5455?

I recently bought a 2009 grey chassis (I believe/think this means it is a tier 3 even though it has the tier 2 bonnet?) Dyna4 MF5455 slope nose tractor and am looking to put a loader to it. Will the MF 896 loader suit the tractor?

They are a big loader on a 5455, but not overly so.
To get the most out of that loader you would need a good rear weight.

The grey paint came out for Massey Ferguson 50 anniversary in 09 it’s called Massey Grey 50. But a 09 5455 is tier 3, the tier 3 bonnet was only on the standard bonnet tractors, late ‘11 the slope nose tractors got the tier 3 bonnets. As said above a 896 is a big loader.

896 is a 960 in quicke version. Big loader although maybe not physically big than the 950 with maybe bigger rams. If you are looking for brackets, I have a set of tier3 dyna 4 5455 (2009) brackets in co Tyrone

I'd imagine a 894 loader would be better suited to a 5455 if ya could get one. And definitley get a weight for the back if at all possible, will take some pressure of the front axle and make her nicer to drive around a yard with bales etc on the loader.

Am i right thinking quicke/mf 894 loader is same size as quicke q65 .IF so the q 65 is a big bulky loader only suited to 130 + hp 6 cylinder .

I've a 894 on a 4355 amd I wouldn't like any bigger on it. The 5455 would be a bit heavier in the backend than a 43 but even so a 894 or the equivalent non self levelling loader would be better suited imo

Thanks all for the advice/info. So I put this together... Based on it I wud prob be best with a Q950, Q960, Q45 or Q46 I suppose? The Q940 looks to be rated too small and the Q56 too big. Wud the extra weight of the Q45/Q46 make much odds over a Q950/Q960? Also I assume I need to be looking at whether the loader is US/UM and get brackets to suit?

What size tyres on the mf and what are you going to be doing with it?The slightly smaller may be handier for your work load i have a 955 on a 6470 perhaps a bit on the small side but it lifts all i want has enough height to stack 4 high on rounds , will go a bit heigher with squares and with a not too heavy weight on the back feels stable.

Set of tier 3 dyna 4 us brackets in Tyrone and a quicke 950 if that is on the agenda to suit a 5455

I my book 960 is the biggest a 5455 can take and 940 is the smallest.
All 3 will work, if you want to be able to lift heavy weights go for 960, if you need extra height go for a 950, if just general work go for a 940.
