Did it get a frost when it was flowering?Ramularia has made an entrance here. Lots of blank grains. Bad spring for winter crops.View attachment 93219View attachment 93220
How many fungicides, did you give it folpet and how many times and what rates? Sorry for the questions but that’s as bad as untreated pixel I saw last year.Patchy but widespread, Joyau six row a lot cleaner. But small bits coming into it.
2 fungicides? Did you use Arizona or a version of folpet twice? My Pixel has a good bit of it too. I was close on 10 days late getting the final spray onto it due to that shite weather in late May. Minor bits on my infinity but the heads were a week later emerging than the Pixel. Up till that I felt the crops were looking fairly well.
Pride and Arizona 28th April and Siltra and Arizona on 26th May.2 fungicides? Did you use Arizona or a version of folpet twice?
Had you another fungicide on early April?Pride and Arizona 28th April and Siltra and Arizona on 26th May.
That's a lot of earsI did a bit of a walk about this morning after checking the cattle. The barley is nice and clean and overall looks quiet healthy.

out of pure pig iron interest and to settle a bet, is there an untreated corner in there anywhere for a pic?Patchy but widespread, Joyau six row a lot cleaner. But small bits coming into it.
If you don’t mind me asking, what farm software package are you using to record spray applications?Yes, Decoy and Comet on 31st March.

Don’t have any hesitation asking @Rebelman. I am by no means an IT person, It’s just Microsoft Excel and I have developed it a bit over the last few years. There is a bit of work in setting it up with field names, acres etc but it makes it a bit easier to keep the records and compare back to previous years etc.If you don’t mind me asking, what farm software package are you using to record spray applications?
Does covering off water troughs help?. I've never seen that done before .And so the battle commences, decoy kites launched, water supplies withdrawn, firepower and ammo on standby and a hammer to finish off the wounded. A true nature lover I am.

Yep, crows like to drink while eating and prefer fields near water. Will choose watered fields over dry fields.Does covering off water troughs help?. I've never seen that done before .
RamulariaGetting dirty
Sadly, decoy + serpent plus folpet was the T2 are you seeing much in crops ?Ramularia
What rate folpet? 1 application of folpet is not enough I think. It needs to go on at flag leaf and again at head spray or else at gs32 and ear emergence.Sadly, decoy + serpent plus folpet was the T2 are you seeing much in crops ?
1 application at 1.25 litresWhat rate folpet? 1 application of folpet is not enough I think. It needs to go on at flag leaf and again at head spray or else at gs32 and ear emergence.
As expected it seems to be failing miserably on ramularia. Apparently anything less than 1.5 l is useless, maybe as you say twice might do somethingWhat rate folpet? 1 application of folpet is not enough I think. I saw trials yesterday and the 2 applications are an awful lot better. It’s expensive tho at 2X1.5’sAs expected it seems to be failing miserably on ramularia. Apparently anything less than 1.5 l is useless, maybe as you say twice might do something
I went on twice at 1l each time and I put on Velogy Era at .6 with it on the T2. It seems to be doing the trick and my wb is spotless.I saw trials yesterday and the 2 applications are an awful lot better. It’s expensive tho at 2X1.5’s
