Applied Astrokerb to the WOSR today. The dropping soil temperature should help it work best.

Plan to spray 2-3m around the hedges later with Belkar to kill Cleavers.

It’s high country, an advantage in an autumn like this.

Not every plant is like this but it’s great to see good rooting. It’ll stand to it when the pigeons eventually arrive.

I can still remember my father losing his car keys in a field once. Don’t think they ever turned up. He had them in a shirt pocket, always a dodgy place to keep things.

But subtly turned the emblem down.... Kind of like the Masons secret handshake, if your not in the know your not in the gang.

Well I was trying to use something to provide scale in the picture. The only other thing I had to provide scale would make even the largest OSR plant look tiny.

Besides, it was a bit cold to taking it out in an open field.

I'd be more familiar with the gardening fork than a set of BMW keys to be honest...

WOSR at the trials site is looking well.

For some reason, the pigeons haven’t touched it yet. Long may it last.

Have not temperatures been a couple of degrees colder since October without going below freezing so most people do not notice. The coldest winter in the Northern Hemisphere for over forty years when satellites started measuring it.

Same here but that was only in December and the Jet Stream has gone to the North of us which would indicate high pressure getting established eventually with the traditional drop in temperatures in early January .

WOSR realises that spring is here, it’s going into stem extension mode.

Seems quite clean compared to other years.
