Have a log saw here made by them. PTO driven handy piece of kit and no complaints about it.

Just checked the log saw out, would save a fair bit of work with a chainsaw and safer too.

Hartnett stuff is chinese afaik.
But they are selling it a long time now and for domestic use i presume yney would be fine.
A horozontal splitter with the option of a multiway wedge is much faster especially with straight timber

How do you find it? They look a great job but any timber we have is as crooked as a politician so I wonder how well it’d work.

The tractor mounted hartnett I looked at was horizontal with the multi way splitter, pull a lever to split in half or by 4, I did worry about that option as In strength of design especially now if it's Chinese

Hartnett electric saw here and no complaints with it, I bought it for lighter bits and I’d a heap of lengths of stuff to do. It’s far far nicer to use on that smaller stuff than a chainsaw is anyways.

Ya that was the main reason we have it. Plus using the chainsaw for long And I start getting electric shocks up my arm

Ya getting on great with it. No problem at all. Will do a 6-8 in piece of timber handy. You'd be surprised how you would manage a crooked bit of timber. Bit of turn it this way or the other and you will get them. Think I've only gotten bet on two lengths here over the time we have had it

Hartnetts would be local to me here. Everything comes in from China. Models come from different makers despite them being all the same colour.

I bought a 7t electric and some of the welds broke. Swapped it for one of the electric 8t ones with some money their direction. That's been going fine for about 6 years now.

My cousin has a smaller saw and it's fine for light stuff.

I saw a neighbour with a branch logger touring around on the back of his tractor a month ago. I must enquire how it's going.
