local digger man/farmer has a 6800 30k and a good fresh 6620.
He says the 68 would pull far better than 6620.

Some lads tend to forget what a gearbox is for, pick a 30km/h at full chat gear in the 40 k box and it will pull the same as top gear in the 30k box.

These models would have the f range? 24 forward as opposed 20 with a to e

Agreed lads always said around here that the 40km 50 series deeres hadn't the power of the 30k ones.
They had they were just trying to go faster with the same amount of gears they were obviously going to find it harder

No the 6800 and 6900 always had the 20 speed American gearbox,same with 6820/6920 6830/6930/7530.
When I bought my current 6800 I set off down the road and opened her up and it would only do 20mph,I'm there thinking feck I've gone and bought a 30kph:curse: nah the hand rev gets a good 26mph.:Thumbp2:

Obviously there was wear between the linkages of the foot throttle v the hand throttle. Must have been some wear in her for that to happen!
