to be fair, as long as we have had cats i dont remember ever seeing one do that.
we did have one once that could open the back door.
took us a few weeks to figure out who kept leaving the door open
the cat always looks at you as if to say, your holding me captive here you know.
at least a dog is glad to see ya come home.
they say, that if you died, and all that was there was a cat, she would eventually eat you to save herself,
the dog would stay with you til he would nearly be dead, but he wouldn't eat you.
on the other hand, reluctantly, i do admire a cats independence.
