As this is my first post let me introduce myself, I farm along with my father and brother just over 1500acres in north Northumberland with sheep cattle and cereals, mainly a upland unit tho, we undertake some local contracting including silage work and all arable work I also do a small amount of contract fencing, what I want to know is anyone can point me in the direction of where I would be able to get a proper old fashioned fencers pinch bar ? The type with a square pointed head and a tamping end about 5 ft long thanks for any help !

hi Moonface and welcome along ,sounds like you keep busy .
not sure where you would get a pinch now :undecided:
farm sale maybe ?

Always on the lookout, though someone might know of a website that sells them or a blacksmith who could make one ! Most blacksmiths now are only interested in shoeing horses !

the last one I bought was from Peddies the ironmonger in Perth
that was about 30 years ago though :D

would an ordinary crowbar not do, cut the head off it and weld on a square head?.:001_unsure:

I saw one in the co-op recently, surely any farm supplies store would have one.

more so this id imagine.
