I can’t believe people are still using the blue book, haven’t used it in over 10 years here, why would ya bother..

Is the calf reg app fully gone? When we signed up for genotyping program it said not to use the app, but I thought it was still available for anyone else..

I always used that app, was actually very handy, wonder why it was discontinued when it was the departments own app.
 
Yeah I meant blue book. We’re not calving so I wouldn’t be familiar with blue book or white cards or whatever they are. Just wondering what difference that online registration thing was

are you registering your calves through agfood?
If you are then you are doing 90% of the job already, the only extra bit is if you sold cattle privately to another farmer, you can generate the permits online instantly, and can submit the permit online instantly too and cattle transfer over straight away, no need to even print off a permit, if both farmers are on agfood.
Marts and( I presume factories?) update automatically.
Agfood may not be handy in a lot of ways, but I think the AIMS is very good and easy to navigate once you get used to it.
The calf reg app was even better, pity they stopped it.

That’s fair enough, each to their own. I’d be the opposite, I despise paperwork..

I got it, but I checked it on the laptop, laptop seems to work better for agfood. The good news is I’ve been approved for 5k.

Mine was refused, but i have appealed it. They won't accept the cert from my ag qualification. They will only accept a letter from teagasc. I should get it - at some stage.

I couldn’t believe I found my cert, it was in my mothers house, I got my cert in 2002 so couldn’t believe my mother kept it and knew exactly where it was…

I had 2 certs. 1 for the 100 hour course and a second for the 80 hour course. They refused on the basis that I hadn't verified my qualifications. The certs were issued from teagasc. I rang the dept and they told me that I needed a letter to confirm that the 180 hours that I did qualified me.

I have the appeal notice sent in and im waiting for my verification letter to come from teagasc
