Wasn't the €50m scheme supposed to be announced before the end of the month?

I was surprised to see how little cattle I killed over the period. I must be learning. Guessing about 20% of my five year average. No good to me, hadn't mine sold in time, was hoping they would keep the final date to the end of june!

It looks a bit good to be true at this stage alright.Hopefully this years fine print doesn't include any nitrate reduction criteria or any exemption for dairy farmers.
Great year for dairy men, no fear of them. They would knock you down about here :Whistle2:Hopefully this years fine print doesn't include any nitrate reduction criteria or any exemption for dairy farmers.
Stores that I sold on March 18th were killed on the 24th. I'll happily collect the €100 each for the buyer :)
How can you check when cattle you sold in the mart were killed?
Thanks
When will the money be paid out?
Dairy farmers are obliged to be members of the Bord Bia Sustainable Dairy Assurance Scheme (SDAS) but not the Beef and Lamb Quality Assurance Scheme. I don't think SDAS allows them to qualify for this scheme. It really closes the door for suckler farmers to get anything whereas leaves the door open for dairy farmers. 90% of suckler farmers would not be bord bia approved so will get nothing on cows that the culled to meat factories whereas dairy farmers are obliged to be bord bia approved and will get the top up on cows slaughtered.
Not many suckler farmers will see it worth their while joining bord bia if they are to only gain a few hundred euro from it on a once off basis
Just looking at this now is the beef sustainable scheme different from the board bia one
Delighted that the dairy cows are being included. We were beginning to feel left outSame thing on the beef side.
