Grain prices

€210 for barley €220 for wheat? More maybe?
I think it was looking that way at the start of the week before it rose on Wednesday.

Of course in these times, it could drop on Monday.

The lack of exports from the Ukraine/Russia is the cause and I feel like it’s like water backing up in a pipe, it’ll still have to come out sometime….

Agree totally, the arse will most likly fall out of it before our price is set.

To be fair, it’s dangerous volatility for Irish grain buyers too. The people who buy from them won’t have much sympathy if they pay a high harvest price and it falls after.
It wouldn’t be the first time that it happened. 2022 was rough.
Mills who buy F all Irish harvest grain would not be buying much at current prices in hope Black Sea grain will move again, it leaves native supporters of grain in a difficult place.
