Bord Na Mona Auction Prices

I don’t know about prices but whoever put them together is a fair clown, most sets are all mixed up every way. There’s say one Firestone one bkt in one lot then the next is one Firestone one continental in the next. You’d think they’d atleast try match a few of the sets?
It's to make you buy a few sets:smartass:

Even the way some of the ads are worded you’d know that who ever is doing it isnt any way experienced.

A few of us went for a look at the stuff for sale yesterday. Apart from one of the MF 362's there wasn't another tractor there that anyone could buy with confidence. Almost all the NH tractors that we started had issues of one sort or another. At a price they would be worth taking a chance on and repairing any issues but BNM auctions don't usually come cheap.

Did you look at the 6830s?

Are the tractors complete or is there parts stripped off them in the cabs etc...
Are the wheels for sale in good order or half perished?
what was the volvo l70 loader like?
Was there a big crowd there while you were viewing?

In the main there complete but simple bits like brake lights are missing off a good few. Electrical gremlins with the lifts and gearboxes of a few of the 60 series NH. A lot have writing on the doors stating gearbox issues or engine issues. We only started a few of the NH tractors and one of the 362's and all were very sluggish to rev up although thats probably due to manky filters. A lot of the tractors were very tatty considering the low hours many had. A lot of the duals for sale are in very good order and some are nearly new. Bit of perishing on some but in the main there quiet good. Now the only problem is a lot aren't matched up at all. The L70 has something over 16k hours on it. Autolube and looks to be very tight. Unfortunately only a BNM employee was allowed drive it but it appeared to be driving very well and the engine ran very clean on the exhaust and sounded like it's quiet healthy. A good crowd but Wilsons only allowed one hour exactly of viewing time per booked slot so it was hard for us to spend any time looking over anything in any detail.
Bit of a bollix really. Expecting the paying public to buy this stuff and only getting enough time to dash around the facility to try see what was there never mind actually examine a machine in more detail.

Father put in Thursday over there. Balls of a job. Weren’t allowed drive the tractors. Tried several times to register to bid as we’re interested in the 6830 s but couldn’t.
