I'm sure there's a few of those 1135's and a 1155 not 10 miles from here, also a 1200 that has had a V8 stuffed into it, @jf 850 will know who I'm talking about.

I had a picture of the V8 1200 , taken at The Silage Extravaganza Mk2 , in 2018.
There was an 1135 a couple of miles away for a few years in the mid 1980s . Spreading lime , and cutting silage . 1st with a Kidd double chop , and later a New Holland 717 precision chop. It replaced an Ursus 385A (4 wd) , and in turn was replaced by a Muirhil 121.
There is another MF 1135 in storage nearby . Was replaced by an MF 3125 possibly 10 years ago.
They were a big helpless thing if conditions were poor underfoot. 7 1/2 tons i think.

Dont think they had presure control either, it was a massive help with the 590s and the 699 had to remember to drop the pressure off when you dropped the trailer off or the left hand chopper wheel was off the ground.

When I was a chap a man from over @Danielk 's direction used to pick up silage with 2 1135's and open to correction MF precision chops. When the 1st self propelled arrived one of the 1135's was put on a mower.

Asked the father this morning about it. He saying Kelly’s had 3 of them at one time. The contractor I work for my father used to work for his father and they had a 1135 on a trailed harvester too.

1st 4wd tractor I bought was a 699,my dad said he couldn’t afford one so I bought it and sold it him a year later, was one of the best tractors we’ve ever had,it would have still been here if it weren’t for rust eating the cab.

Aye 'twas Kelly's I was referring to. I can't remember there being 3 but I won't disagree as age is against me and the auld hard drive is getting banjaxed.

To think they were front line tractors in the 80s and now a 7718 is at its limit with bigger machines, its kind of sneaked up on us the need for bigger and bigger tractors.

Remember back in school the talk about a 2640 that a local contractor had. Was a huge tractor at that time

Yesterday’s jobs, day was fit for nothing else
