Spot on. You are well informed.Cloone sowing for EF? If so it yielded very well.
That's because there is very little sown in East CorkAt least 6 separate growers within this area were sowing today, barley & wheat.
I can’t believe how quick land is soaking.
What are you spraying that with ?Wetest tillage field now on the farm, I’d say the rain has shook the oats a lot they only look okay, just about safe to travel View attachment 116141View attachment 116142
Dff and aphicideWhat are you spraying that with ?
If that's your wettest field your doing well, there's many a field in the south east that you wouldn't have a hope of sprayingWetest tillage field now on the farm, I’d say the rain has shook the oats a lot they only look okay, just about safe to travel View attachment 116141View attachment 116142

Dff and aphicide
Is there many of the latter about atm?? Would have thought the cold weather thats meant to be on the way for the end of next week will knock them backDff and aphicide
From my own understanding of it The cold should stop flight but if they are already in it, it will do nothing. I had a look during week and found aphids on plants If I didn’t I don’t think I would have bothered spraying a weed spray at all I would have just waited until March and gone with a herbicide thenIs there many of the latter about atm?? Bog Man is always right. Except in his own kitchen. Never argue with the cook. Most men that are stabbed to death are within six foot of the kitchen sink.Bog Man was always right, winter oats is a crop for beside the yard/house.
The last picture I put in the WB thread was sprayed same day as oats but that got .110 of DFF while the oats got the full rate, frost came about 4 days after being sprayedDid you spray the Oats after the barley?
Was it frosty when spraying the Oats?
It only looks like spray damage to me and it looks to be growing out of it
Just my opinion, I have got caught with spray residue and frost on my own Oats before, so no offense intended. The last picture I put in the WB thread was sprayed same day as oats but that got .110 of DFF while the oats got the full rate, frost came about 4 days after being sprayed
No offence taken at all gone, information like that is worth a fortune to me, that was my first time spraying winter oats in winter, the rinse out would have been middling now after stomp and the frost and possibly zinc, I must try get zinc spray this seasonJust my opinion, I have got caught with spray residue and frost on my own Oats before, so no offense intended.
1) Stomp is a bastard to wash out properly and any little bit along with the DFF is very tough on Oats.
2) Frost and DFF on Oats doesn't mix.
3) Severe Zinc deficiency can cause that chlorosis on young leaves, but the old leaves damage doesn't look like Zn to me.
