I agree on your first points but the DUP are on the wrong track. Rolling back the agreement will be bad for the North.

Absolutely not surprised they are using this mess to their advantage though
 
Over the last 4 years the EU played a blinder. They offered Theresa May the deal she wanted, they offered Boris the deal he wanted, they pulled together in a very unified direction and they didn't throw Ireland under the bus.

To then pull a stupid stunt like that over a contract dispute with a private entity was ridiculous and plays right into the hands of all their critics.


The DUP have on the opposite hand played this all wrong from the start, wanting to be the same as the mainland was never going to work. Instead of looking for special treatment which they could easily have gotten, they just said No. As always.
