More experimentation this day last week, sowing Ambition and putting 10-7+S, Mg, Zn & Mn start fertilizer in the seedbed. Sowed a couple of strokes with the fertilizer turned off, will be interesting to see how it progresses.
Stuff under plastic will be. Ours Just about at knee high nowI doubt if most maize will be knee high on the 4th of july this year!
Same here, grown a lot in the last 10 days, knee high at the moment, any bit of heat and I’d say it’ll be waist high by 4th of JulyStuff under plastic will be. Ours Just about at knee high now
I see some open maize locally and I doubt it will be knee high by the time it's ripe to cut.The knee high 4th of July phrase was in relation to open maize not plastic maize.
That stuff I was looking at is about 12 inches so we'll remain optimisticThe knee high 4th of July phrase was in relation to open maize not plastic maize.
And it was an American reference with little or no correlation to IrelandThe knee high 4th of July phrase was in relation to open maize not plastic maize.

Open maize with me is just not booming yet, it got its herbicide 15 days ago and it’s hasn’t fully woken up from it yet. It got a big dose of epsocombitop, zinc, copper manganese and NTS trio this eve and hopefully this will do it. The wet cold may did not suit it
Easily known you are more southerly than us, any uncovered maize around here is hardly half of yours.View attachment 93692View attachment 93693View attachment 93694

Looks fine, herbicide is seriously hard on maize especially atm, given the low nightime temperatures. Often included delfan which seemed to be a big help.View attachment 93692View attachment 93693View attachment 93694

How would I mix that?Looks fine, herbicide is seriously hard on maize especially atm, given the low nightime temperatures. Often included delfan which seemed to be a big help.
A shot of MAP or DAP in the sprayer might be worth considering

Not overly hard, could do low volumes through induction hopper, probably available in a liquid aswell. How would I mix that?
Looks like a good boot, did you find it's pair?View attachment 93692View attachment 93693View attachment 93694
